Review : My new phone
This phone is good and works with different SIM Cards as advertised,but comes without the Manual and/or the Software which took me a long tome to find on the NET without paying somebody.
The disturbing fact is that it is falsely advertised as having a 1 year US Warranty, however it is not supported by Samsung USA at all and I was advised to contact Samsung Philippines by e-mail (no toll-free number)and their response was below any expectation, but lucky I have managed to resolve the Bluetooth problem myself. The Manual I have found has mistakes regarding the correct settings in some areas.
I wish Amazon will review the Warranty Policy for this product and advise how to proceed if the Service is needed

Canadian folks who have been waiting to get their hands on the new Samsung Galaxy S3, sources are claiming it could probably be headed to a Best Buy near you on June 20. While it’s known that the S3 phone will be available on most, if not all, carriers in the country by summer, Mobile Syrup has gotten a tip, complete with a leaked flyer that points to the availability of the phone.

Further adding to all the rumors of Samsung S3’s availability at Best Buy Canada on June 20 is the fact that the retailer has asked Mobile Syrup to take down the leaked image soon after it spread like wildfire. Oh Best Buy, haven’t you learned yet about how the internet works?

The flyer, as you can see below, doesn’t mention any specific pre-order date for the Galaxy S3. Other sources, however, seem to indicate that you’d be able to start pre-ordering the phone starting May 30, which is barely a week away from today, Yeesssss.

If Best Buy Canada gets the Samsung Galaxy S3 on June 20, it’s safe to assume that will be the official launch date of the phone in Canada. We can expect the Galaxy phone to become available on other channels on the very same date. The sign-up pages of the Samsung Galaxy S3 on several major Canadian carriers, like Rogers and Bell, have already been live for a while now, so you may want to start putting your name there, you know, to make sure that you get it faster than anyone else.

The build-up to the official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S3 was a long drawn-out affair, with a whirlwind of emotions whipping the Android fans masses into a frenzy. May 3 was the big day, with the much-hyped “next Galaxy” officially presented at an event in London. This was followed by the whole world letting out a sigh of relief, as design, specifications, and accessory information were suddenly available to the public.

We are now in the post-announcement stage, where we witness a slew of leaked benchmark tests, sneak peaks of hands-on videos, and shipping dates rumors. It has been confirmed that the international version of the Galaxy S3 will come next week, at the end of May, in Europe, with some markets such as India having to wait a little longer, till June 10. With the need for a new processor and the addition of LTE radio for the US versions of the device, US consumers might have to be patient for a while longer. The good news on that front is the device will be available on all four major US networks.

While there has been no official announcement on a potential release date for the Middle East market, it seems that customers there were all set to receive the device in line with the European release date.

Until one retail store in Dubai decided to put the device on sale a whole week early.

If you live in Dubai, you can get your hands on the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3 as soon as today. Take the Metro to the Mall of Emirates and do not forget to bring your credit card for the hefty price tag of the device – 2450AED (422GBP, 666USD, 680CAD)……

Over 75,000 people at Foxconn needed to manufacture the Samsung Galaxy S3 for Launch

believe it or not dear readers, but there are roughly 75,000 people working hard right now to manufacture the Samsung Galaxy S3. If you’ve read the recent report saying that there are 9 million pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S3, you must be wondering whether these people can actually make 9 million units in time for its release? The short answer is yes, they can.

How did we arrive to the said figures? We’ll spare you the horrid details (not to mention the math) and just give you a brief recap of a feature ran by ExtremeTech.com. In the article, Sebastian Anthony uses various statistics from Apple and Samsung to estimate the workforce necessary to churn out the millions of Galaxy S3 phones that the market demands.

Just to give you an idea of how the estimation was made, Anthony starts from the capacity of Foxconn’s production lines, a figure revealed earlier this year in the diary of a worker.

Now applying that with the production line of the Samsung Galaxy S3. Samsung’s factory will at least need 60 production lines to make 5 million units of the Samsung Galaxy S3. That equals to around 38,400 workers. So to make the 9 million units of the phone who are up for pre-orders, then it will require roughly 75,000 people to work on Samsung’s manufacturing plant. And these are the same number of workers who will make Samsung Galaxy S3 units beyond the 9 million pre-orders.

Those are the bare facts about the production of the Samsung Galaxy S3. Those are the number of people who are working so hard to deliver what we have all been waiting for all these months. Hopefully, the working conditions of Samsung workers in Korea are not as bad as the Foxconn employees who make the iPhone.

So by the time you get hold of the Samsung Galaxy S3, think about these people and thank them for their hard work just to make us happy, Samsung Galaxy S3 owners.

The long awaited Samsung Galaxy S3 is still about ten days away, that is if you’re lucky enough to live in Europe or the other regions where the vaunted device will come early. For those on the other side of the Atlantic, Samsung has only offered an annoyingly vague “this summer” as an availability date.

Why are American users among the last to get new devices? It’s because the immense power that big carriers wield in the US, and also, due to the specifics of the market. Manufacturers have to adapt their devices to the carriers’ requests, and also to ensure the technical compatibility between handsets and the cell networks that are prevalent in North America.

Of course, you can always skip carriers and get yourself an unlocked device, if you are willing to put up with the significant price hike and some limitations. Case in point: you can now pre-order an unlocked, GSM Samsung Galaxy S3 16GB from Amazon.com, starting from $799.99.

Now, 800 bucks is a hefty price tag, no matter how you look at it, but considering the savings that you can make by going pre-paid, it might be something to consider. You can get the device from several vendors, some of which claim that they’ll ship the device even before the official May 29 worldwide release date (with the customary warnings). For example, retailer Tailwind says it will get the Galaxy S3 in its inventory as early as May 24 and begin to ship orders the next day. So, yeah, you’ll get the bragging rights associated with sporting the Galaxy S3 before any of your friends.

For the caveat part, this is the GSM version of the phone, which will not work on Verizon’s or Sprint CDMA networks. As for LTE, forget about it. On the flip=side, this version is powered by a quad-core Exynos 4 processor, as Mother Samsung intended, and not the S4 Snapdragon that will probably tick inside the US versions of the Galaxy S3.

So, folks, if you don’t care about LTE or CDMA, and you are sick of depending on carriers, the beautiful Galaxy S3 might be your own personal vehicle to phone nirvana.

To which group do you belong: Are one of the many who celebrates the announcement of Samsung Galaxy S3′s release in late May? Have you already per-ordered the smartphone? Or do you find yourself in the critics’ camp, frustrated beyond words by what Samsung is starting? Whether you are in one group or the other or somewhere in between, it was already clear in advance that we here would get some variation of the Galaxy S3. Japan and the customers of NTT Docomo for example are receiving a version of the S3 that I find rather spectacular.

Unfortunately the Exynos quad core must give way to the dual core. The S4 Snapdragon dual core with 1.5 GHz must now do the work of a quad core. We’ve seen this abandonment many times before with manufacturers who want to ensure LTE functionality, and so it is in this case too. But a dual core is just not enough for this device when Samsung has just doubled the memory to a whopping 2 GB. I think if you gave me a decent dual core and then a LTE said to pack double the RAM, I would rather have the “normal” model instead of the souped up one- provided of course, that I would have usage of the LTE in my region.

Both Samsung Japan and NTT Docomo have confirmed that the Galaxy S3′s Japanese variant, named the SC-06D, will be packing 2GB of RAM, instead of 1GB. The device will also swap the quad-core Exynos for a 1.5Ghz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. The reason for this significant modification is to make the Samsung Galaxy S3 compatible with Docomo’s Xi LTE network, The Verge reported.

Considering the changes with regard to the Japanese Galaxy S3 model, many people tend to believe that the US variant of the smartphone will also follow the same path and get it’s extra gig. The idea is based on some earlier reports saying that the LTE variants of the Galaxy S3 in the US will feature a dual-core processor as the Samsung Exynos 4412 lacks an integrated LTE radio, something that has become a fact with the Japanese model.

According to media reports, the extra gig of RAM will be exclusive to Japan. The Verge noted that NTT Docomo’s model is a separate version with “other features specific to the local market such as a 1seg TV tuner, so the expanded RAM may well remain exclusive to Japan.”

The report, however, mentioned that with LG’s Optimus LTE 2 featuring the same amount of memory, 2GB of RAM is very likely to become the standard for high-end Android smartphones sooner than later.

Running on Android 4.0, LG Optimus LTE 2 smartphone boasts 2GB of RAM. LG said that the extra memory should ensure high stability even with multiple applications running at the same time. Apart from that, the device also claimed 40 percent longer battery life than the original Optimus LTE.

A report in Motoringcrunch, on the other hand, tends to bet on the US Galaxy S3 also getting 2GB of RAM. “Given that there are expected to be 4 different US Samsung Galaxy S3 variants, there is a high likelihood that some (if not all) the US models get 2GB RAM as well,” said the report.

Whether the US variant of the Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with 2GB of RAM or not, it would basically be the same phone as far as other specifications are concerned.

On May 3rd, Samsung Galaxy S3 was officially unveiled in London and since then everybody is talking about it. The Europeans will be the first to get their hands on the flagship device, but it seems that the Americans will soon be able to purchase the Galaxy S3, soon.

The Samsung SCH-i535 device have been recently associated with Verizon, but when the device received the WiFi certification a couple of month ago, we all thought that it’s the Galaxy Nexus variant for the US market. The mysterious SCH-i535 smartphone have recently appeared in NenaMark benchmark tests, but the 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution is definitely dismissing the rumors saying that it can be a Galaxy Nexus variant (Google’s latest dev phone has a 1196 x 720 pixels display).

The 1,280 x 720 pixels coincides with the one of Samsung Galaxy S3′s 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, so the SCH-i535 that appeared in the NenaMark benchmarks could be the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3. Another interesting feat is the Adreno 225 GPU, which can only be found mounted on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 SoC. available

The global version of Samsung Galaxy S3 version presented a few days ago features a quad-core 1.4GHz Exynos 4212 chipset, 1 GB of RAM and 16/32/64 GB of internal flash storage. The new Samsung flagship also packs a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display and an 8 megapixel primary camera with autofocus, LED flash and 1080p video recording support.

The benchmark test results also showed that the terminal’s CPU is clocked at 1.5GHz and that the SCH-i535 terminal is running on Android 4.0.4 ICream Sandwich. As you’ve probably know, Galaxy S3 will hit the States packing a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor because of the 4G LTE chip power, just like it happened with the US version of another quad-core terminal, HTC One X.
